Cat Shows

He tells us it all started with a cat 😁

A Persian cat.

His family moved to a bigger city in Italy, the Persian cat moved in around the same time.

One thing led to another and he was asked to help out at a cat show.

He started his career as a steward.

During this time he was very fortunate to meet a lot of different breeds and understood then and there that cats will forever be a part of his life ♥️

Did you have cats before the Persian cat?

Luigi says that cats have always been a part of his life.

When he was little the family had house cats, but they spent most of the time outside in the family garden.

Why do you think you have such a passion for cats?

Luigi answers by saying that it might have something to do with his zodiac sign?

Luigi was born the 14th of August which is the Leo Zodiac sign. -Perhaps this sign has influenced my love for the elegance and beauty of the cat?

Luigi:

Today I am a judge of all breeds.

I feel so blessed and I'm so happy to welcome all cats to my table.

They recharge me with positive energy.

I'm so grateful and thankful for these moments!

One day all this will end.

But I will forever carry in my heart, all the emotions that I have collected.

And all the moments I've shared with people

that have the same passion - The Divine Cats! 🐈‍⬛

Have you judged a special before?

If so what breed?

Luigi:
In the past I participated in some special breeds in collaboration with other colleagues, I don't remember ever doing it alone!

The breeds judged were the following: PER/EXO’ NFO.SIB-NEM- BSH.BLH BEN -CHA-CRX-DRXSIA/OSH!

Have you judged an ocicat special before?

If so tell us where and when.😍

Now that you have accepted the role of being the judge for the Ocicat special 2025

Will you prepare in any special way for the big day?

Study the Ocicat standard down to the very detail for example? 😁

Luigi:
I never participated in judging the Ocicat breed before. This will be the first time 😃

I will definitely read the Ocicat standard again, I would of course like to make a good impression!

My choices may or may not be shared by others, but what really matters is that the cats selected for the awards meet the breed standard.
Of course, there will always be a personal and subjective element, as is always the case when I judge—regardless of the breed on my table!

Do you live with a cat/cats now?

If so what breed?

And what made you choose that particular breed?

Luigi:
In Italy I live with 4 cats, 3 Cornish and an Oriental.

I was a Persian cat breeder in the past!

I had the chance to handle these breeds—They were so different from the one I breed before—I completely fell in love with them!

They are affectionate cats, full of love for their owners and those close to them.

What do you prefer to do when you are not travelling around the world to judge beautiful cats?

Luigi:
When I don't judge, I love to stay at my house with my beloved cats!

I meet friends to eat together!

I really like to walk early in the mornings in the center of my beautiful Turin!

We had to ask Luigi about his other passion.. Fashion!

Luigi's answer:

Dressing well is part of my DNA!

This to please myself and hopefully others! The color violet is my favorite 💜💜
